Most people outside of academia know me as an ultimate frisbee player. I have played competitively at the youth, college, club, international, and pro levels since 2008 with various teams in Colorado, Chicago, and Los Angeles. In March 2020, I was among 24 players selected for men's Team USA scheduled to compete at the 2020 World Championships (canceled due to Covid-19). In 2021, I was the first player in professional Ultimate history to sign a 3-year contract (Chicago Union of the UFA). Most recently, I signed a record-breaking 6-year deal with the Los Angeles Aviators in 2023. I am a 6-time All-UFA selection and hold the single-season and career records for completions and assists in the UFA.
